The birth of Athena

Terracotta kylix (drinking cup), ca. 550 BCE. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 06.1097.

Caption note Athena is small within the picture; a carefully chosen detail would help. Both sides show the birth; alternate DT10998.jpg is also 3811 × 3049 px.
